There is an interesting planetary lineup on January 25, 2009. Jupiter be in Capricorn with retrograde Mercury, Sun, Moon, and Rahu, and it will be a solar eclipse. This is all happening on Barack Obama's ascendant!! Quite a powerful time with all the grahas lining up, including all three sattva guna grahas (Sun, Moon, Jupiter) but also Rahu.

The exact time of the new moon on Jan. 25 is 11:56 PM Pacific Time, which would be 2:56 AM EST on the 26th. This as also the center of the eclipse. It is interesting that the time is so close to midnight on the West Coast, which is center of the East - West spiritual connection and where many of the new impulses for healing and spirituality originate. Midnight is the eclipse/moon time of the 24 hour day, when moon has directional strength and sun has the opposite.
